The ides of March (March 15th, 2009) was another fine example of H.O.O.K.A.H. members improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

There was a relatively good turn out for the first ever Family Skate Day. Aside from having a great time, everyone who managed to make it down to the outdoor rink had at least four things in common.

  1. Enjoyed a free pop

  2. Tasted of free hot chocolate

  3. Satisfied their hunger with free hot dogs

  4. Skated, walked, slid, or otherwise positioned themselves on the outdoor ice surface at least once

This event was paid for by the Town of Qu'Appelle, and H.O.O.K.A.H. volunteers were on site to help dole out the free goodies. Here's a few pictures that were taken. The last one is me cooking the hot dogs. You can't see it, but I am wearing an "Original White H.O.O.K.A.H. T-Shirt" available from our merchandise store.
