Way back in the year
2000, the grand task of creating the world's finest drink began at the Crooked
Cue. After many nights of trial and error, the final form was entered
into the drink menu and signed by the original inventors. It's name...
The
Shortly there after,
hundreds of people regularly made the historic voyage night after night
to the Crooked Cue to partake in the wondrous 4oz Boston Lee. This was
perhaps the greatest time throughout all of history, a time where friends
regularly gathered, Boston Lee's were served, and best of all, the price was significantly
below cost.
Unfortunately all good
things, and in this case great things, must come to an end. Management
learned of the grand Boston Lee, and decided it needed to be stopped.
There were many reasons for this, some of which included the amount of alcohol
patrons were consuming (1 drink was 4 ounces after all), the high maintenance
requirement of the cheep blenders for making ice, and the lack of profits
(didn't I say the drinks were cheep).
And so, the patrons were
asked to stop consuming the Boston Lee on such a regular basis, and to select a
single day to honour and consume the drink. That day, hence forth known
as Boston Lee Day was Friday the 13th.
For many years now,
Friday the 13th has been a grand celebration of the Boston Lee.
Celebrations include:
And now, the part you've all been waiting for; the Boston Lee recipe. I've modified this slightly so you can enjoy it at home using a common blender. The ingredients:
From Left to right - Cherry Whisky, Peach Schnapps, Coconut Rum, Limon Rum, Golden Pear.
