The Holy Order Of Kties And Hats Social Club Incorporated is primarily interested in hosting enjoyable events for our members, and improving the image of the hookah and those who smoke vapour it.
The club was first founded on Hookah Day of Hookah Month (April 1st) 2008 by Aleyn Arthur and Mike Lenzen in Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada. Since then, the club has grown steadily to include members from nearby towns and cities. This suits us fine, and we hope to one day become an international organization with useful member benefits across the globe. If you are interested in forming your own H.O.O.K.A.H. chapter, please contact one of our directors for more information on how to get started.
As a Social Club, we try our best to provide resources for our members, and those interested in becoming members. We invite everyone to share you knowledge with the world on a variety of topics. The quickest way of doing this is to start commenting on existing articles. If you would like to write articles for the site, you will first have to register for an account using the Login Form on the left side of this page. Near the bottom is a link to Register. Once registered, you will need to contact one of our directors so we can provide your account with authoring privileges.
We also take the communities we live in quite seriously. As our goal is to improve the image of all things Hookah, we try to have a positive influence on the community. We generally do this by donating our personal time, and club funds to worthwhile causes. If you would like hookah to help with your own fundraising event, once again, please contact one of our directors .
Inevitably, you must be thinking, “you call yourselves a Holy Order, does that mean you’re a religious cult?” The answer, is no. Jokingly, we like to think that we are Neo-Druidic, meaning that we can not trace our origins to any other religion, we do not require our members to follow any set of tenants or code, we allow you to practice as many or as few other religions as you like without persecution, and we enjoy using the hookah, and consuming alcohol socially with other people. We generally skip the costumes, symbols, and worship sessions associated with some other Neo-Druids, but we do have our own Boston Lee Day .
